III. The plan laid out in the Sanctuary symbolically of the yearly cycle of
the sacrificial lambs by the people and priests, the daily ministration
of the priesthood, culminated once a year on the DAY OF ATONEMENT, the Judgment Day and the Cleansing of the 
Sanctuary....(the day when the high priest sprinkled the blood before the Mercy Seat of God in the Most Holy Place).
And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.
Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things,
as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the
tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to
the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
