"All believers in the mortality of man and the sleep of the dead agree that it is a great absurdity to teach that the righteous are taken to heaven at death, and the wicked sent to hell, and then after hundreds of years are called back, the saints from heaven, and the wicked from hell, to be judged! 

Q: What can be the use of such a judgment? 

Q: Is there danger that God has made a mistake in taking some to heaven who ought not to have gone there, and has sent others to hell who ought to have been in heaven? 

Such a judgment must be only a mockery. 

Hence we say, That theory must be false. 

God will not reward men till He has judged them to ascertain what each should have."

But man dieth, and wasteth away: 

Q: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, 

and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

So man lieth down, and riseth not:

till the heavens be no more, 

they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

 

For the living know that they shall die: 

but the dead know not any thing....

Q: When are they raised from the dead?

A: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,

with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

 

Q: How did your first parents have eternal life?

Q: But then what happened?

God said, Behold, the man is become as one of Us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: So He drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Access to  be Restored:

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month.....Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Q: Where are the dead in the meantime?

A: All go unto one place; 

all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
